My first Melbourne pub experience – and how important finding a good local pub is. The Napier Hotel. Bar guide describes it as one of “Fitzroy’s vintage favourites, serving up classic pub fare in a relaxed space that’s packed full of locals”.
From the moment I sat down with my first jug (pitcher) of Coopers – I felt like a local and my favourite part of it: simplicity but chef prepared food. Snuggled in a homey residential strip, school down the street its where the adults come to play. Couple of pots (small pints) and a cigarette then the tables scatter and the next round of neighbours stroll in. Yes, definitely a pub for my character type. A local I will be too!
