life is filled with ordinary people.  you encounter strangers every day.  smile at someone whom you will never see again.  but it is the extraordinary people that you meet that are memorable.  the ones you want to hold onto.  the ones filled with loveliness.  the ones that light up your heart.  the ones that leave a lasting footprint, changing you for the better.  and whilst i have met many people since arriving in Australia none have been as charming or comforting as the viking and the pom.  a natural friendship filled with trust and endless laughter.  their admiration for one another is warm and refreshing and my time with them absolutely enjoyable.  the relationship – easy.  the friendship – meaningful and reciprocal.  so yes, when you meet extraordinary people hold onto them because they are far and few in between.
