I bought these True, North, Strong and Free tumblers (made from upcycled beer bottles) by @artechglass to celebrate my 500 days of sobriety last December (proudly going on 2+ years sans booze!). It was a fitting purchase after deciding to upcycle my own lifestyle. And showcasing my Canadian values to boot! Now, nearly after a year of having them carefully wrapped up for safekeeping, I’ve found the most elegant space in the bird’s nest to display them. Today is #WorldKindnessDay. One of my favourite quotes about kindness and humanity is by the ever-so endearing Winnie the Pooh: “A little consideration, a little thought for others, makes all the difference.” So, I tried to be extra more considerate, thoughtful and kinder throughout my day: • I gave pro bono advice to a donor who is setting up her own Foundation • I paid a bill for someone who I know is struggling • I sent three love letters to friends around the world We should all endeavour to be a bit more human and kind in our days.
